otosi School Counseling Corner

My name is Molly Markham and I am the new school counselor for the Potosi School District. I am licensed as a k-12 school counselor by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. I am excited to work with students, families, and staff at Potosi School. Below, you will find a little bit about me. 

 

In 2012, I received my bachelor’s degree at Clarke University with a major in psychology and a minor in sociology. In August 2014, I received my master's in counseling at the University of Wisconsin Platteville, where I fulfilled the required coursework and internships in school counseling as well as mental health counseling.  For the past year, I was employed as a therapist and school based youth service counselor for Hillcrest Family Services in Dubuque, IA. 

 

I absolutely love my job! To me, counseling does not feel like a job or work, but more like a privilege, where I have the opportunity to get to know and assist students in accomplishing success. I am grateful for the opportunity to get to know all of you at Potosi and look forward to an exciting school year!
